In short, the Samaritan encounter between Jesus and the woman at the well is part of the Mystery of Faith. In the same way, we use social media today in order to share with friends and family our experiences and encounters with others, so the Samaritan woman offers us an insight into first-century ground level social media. The woman at the well uses her social skills to make her Samaritan encounter with the Messiah as a turning point for herself and her entire community. After the woman shares her experience with Jesus they no longer have to rely on her story, but they make their Samaritan encounter with Jesus and come to the renewed faith Jesus brings thru his Gospel of peace and total service to God.
